The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is pleased to announce its commitment to be the capacity-building partner for Women in Finance Rwanda (WIFR).
WIFR is focused on development and empowerment to advance the leadership growth of women in finance. They aim to engage stakeholders to understand the current motivations, concerns and pressures across the sector in delivering gender parity. This alliance represents a significant step towards fostering knowledge and expanding opportunities, and the CISI is committed to supporting this agenda.
As part of this collaboration, the six WIFR Founding Partners will be awarded CISI membership. CISI membership is a compelling marker of professionalism in the sector and comes with access to a wide range of learning resources to help individuals stay up to date and relevant. The CISI has a global membership network with members in over 100 countries.
The CISI will offer a ‘Futures in Finance’ programme targeting the under 30s, the selected individuals will have the opportunity to study for and take the CISI’s International Introduction to Securities & Investment certificate. All study materials and an examination sitting will be sponsored. A Sustainability Scholars programme will also be launched by the partnership with selected individuals having the opportunity to take the CISI’s Sustainable and Responsible Investment Assessment.
The partnership also intends to collaborate with universities and on socio-economic mobility programmes.

About Women in Finance Rwanda
The Women in Finance Rwanda (WIFR) is an organization that was registered in September 2022 with the aim of developing and empowering female leadership growth within the Rwanda financial sector.
WIFR has 4 main objectives provided for under its statute which are:
1. Motivating integration of gender balance as part of purpose and brand of the financial sector
2. Engage stakeholders to understand current motivations, concerns and pressures across the sector in delivering gender parity
3. Create a platform for women to connect, collaborate, educate and promote the financial sector
4. Engage policy makers in order to promote gender parity in the Sector
