Integrity and Ethics
Refreshed March 2026 | CPD time: 1 Hour 15 Minutes
Ethics is the study of what is morally right and what is not. In other words, it defines how we live a ‘good’ or ‘valuable’ life. Integrity relates to the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles that you refuse to change. Integrity is often used interchangeably with ethics, although it is actually an important ethical value in its own right. This module provides an understanding of ethical behaviour, ethics in finance, the importance of trust and trustworthiness, and an analysis of compliance versus ethics.
