Christopher Jehan appointed President of CISI Guernsey branch committee

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Christopher Jehan, Chartered FCSI as President of the CISI Guernsey branch committee. He takes over from Paul Garrard who has been on the CISI Committee for 13 years and President for two years.

Christopher joined the CISI in 2000 becoming a Chartered Fellow in 2014. He has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, predominantly in the funds sector.

Christopher (right) began his career with a short stint at the Bank of Bermuda prior to moving to280720CISIGuernseyPresidentChristopherJehan Guinness Flight (later Investec Asset Management and now Ninety One) in 1994. At Investec, he built his career including such roles as Legal & Technical Manager, Projects Manager, Operations Manager and Technical Director. He has also served on the boards of various Investec funds and special purpose vehicles as well as roles both on the Management Committee and as General Representative of Investec’s offshore life branch.

In 2016 Christopher founded Midshore Consulting Limited, which now has operations in both Guernsey and Florida and clients spanning three continents. Midshore serves clients across the entire regulated financial services industry, specialising in international regulation and business. He has also recently started acting as a Non-Executive Director.

A regular contributor to committees and working groups in Guernsey, Christopher has recently started his second year as Chair of the Guernsey Investment & Funds Association and is a Council Member of the Guernsey International Business Association. Christopher has sat on various regulatory working groups in Guernsey, including those relating to AIFMD, MiFID II & CRS.

Christopher has spoken at events in Guernsey, London & South Africa and has both authored and contributed to numerous articles.

Now is a time to embrace a new way of working and bringing the range of CISI qualifications to a wider local audience will help our profession bolster its knowledge base to drive forwards. No other professional body provides the breadth that can allow the study of investment management, cyber security and Islamic finance all in one year!”
